The picadillo here is very good! We also tried the carne asada taco and the only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because the aguas frescas weren't very good

"Latin American food made with love"...at the Ferry Building! We were in town for a work offsite. Thankfully our lunch break was on the early side, just after 11am, so we beat the lunch rush. A group of 5 of us placed our order at the counter, received a buzzer, and found a table outside overlooking the Bay! We received the buzz within 10 or 15 minutes, picked up our food inside at the counter, and enjoyed it all! Here's what we ordered: -Chicharron Pollo with pinto beans and plantains -Tofu Taco -Pollo Taco -Carne Asada Taco -Ensalada with pollo al pastro -Ensalada with tofu -Chips & salsa -Churros I went for tacos. Tortillas and all other ingredients tasted fresh. Prices were reasonable for SF. For fast and fresh Latin American eats, I'd definitely return to Cholita Linda! We didn't try the guac on this visit but I hear it's good and will try it next time.

Hands down one of the best fish tacos I've had! The fish tasted fresh and was hot and crispy, the cole slaw was flavorful, and the orange sauce was full of citrus and had a nice kick. 3 tacos was definitely a bit too filling for me, which means it was totally worth it haha. It is mostly self-serve, you order at the counter and pick up your own food, as well as clean up your own tray. The ambiance was casual, it was nice that there was outdoor and indoor seating options.

Not going to lie, this was the best possible welcome into San Francisco. I knew this was a chain going in but it met all of my requirements: 1) was nearby my hotel (I was starving) 2) was very reasonably priced and 3) served tacos. Three tacos will only set you back ~$15 and they are truly so good. Maybe it's just that this northeast girly is deprived of perfect tacos, but these hit the spot. I went with one fish, one carnitas, and one carne asada. The staff there also recommended I get a blended mango strawberry agua fresca and thank goodness I took their advice. This is the best post-long flight treat and hit the spot. I ordered, took my buzzer outside, set up my computer, and food was ready within a few minutes. The process couldn't be easier and I was grateful to take in the views and enjoy. Space is very clean and staff is helpful. Overall a great spot for a team lunch or solo working lunch.

I arrived eager to try the Asado sandwich, only to find they had run out of meat. However, this twist of fate led me to discover the Papito sandwich, which turned out to be a delightful surprise. The Papito boasts a perfect harmony of flavors - the sweetness of the plantains, the savory steak, and the creamy cheese blend seamlessly. The bread, soft on the inside with a satisfying exterior crunch, perfectly complements the fillings. It's easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever tasted. In addition to the Papito, I also ordered the carnitas taco, which was bursting with flavor, enhanced by the fresh slaw topping. The accompanying Mexican Coca Cola soda provided a refreshing accompaniment to wash it all down. I must also mention that the woman who took our order and cleaned our table was super nice and helpful, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. Overall, it was a fantastic and affordable meal experience.

Located at the Ferry Building, Cholita Linda is a decent Latin American restaurant in the area. The restaurant is of decent size with multiple seats and tables, self-service water, and very friendly staff. They also offer outdoor seating, providing a beautiful view for your dining experience. The interior design is very homey and colorful, which I absolutely adored. I ordered the chips and guac, which were pretty addictive. The guac is very tasty and creamy. I also ordered the Asado Sandwich, which I thought was just decent. It lacked a little in taste - I thought it needed more savory and salty flavor. Dipping it in some sauce would definitely hit the spot, but overall, I still enjoyed the sandwich. They did not hold back on the amount of meat they put, and I enjoyed the toasted bread as well.

I've been to Cholita Linda locations in Oakland and Alameda. This was my first time at the Ferry building. Order at the counter and get a buzzer for pickup. Similar to the other locations, there's a water station. The tacos are a bit pricey at $4.95 but are always tasty. All of them are flavored well with a lot of cabbage topped on them. The service at the counter was nice. A lot of tables inside and outside.

Delicious food and great service! I'm a Papito sandwich loyalist: steak, plantains, caramelized onions, arugula, & jack cheese on french bread... YUM! I've eaten at the Ferry Building & Oakland locations and I'm so excited for it to come to Walnut Creek. The other sandwiches, the sides, tacos, and drinks are also a hit. They play fun music, and the inside is colorful--a great place to get together with family or friends for a meal!
